Summer Mission Update

Hello and God bless you,

Through your support and the glorious power of God, last summer we accomplished many wonderful and amazing things in northeastern Africa. We established a church in the Muslim country of Djibouti, our Head of Africa Missions had the opportunity to speak with many government officials in Ethiopia about Jesus, and we received permission in Djibouti to begin plans for building a new Christian primary school.

Tonight we are on the eve of another amazing summer in Africa, so we need your help more than ever to help lay a foundation of blessing and fruitfulness for the next few months to come. We at Justice For Humanity believe that prayer is critically important to everything we do. Just as the Ark of the Covenant was advanced before the Israelites as they laid claim to their inheritance in the Promised Land, we as Christians have the privilege and the opportunity to advance our prayers before us as we lay claim to the inheritance of our King Jesus Christ, which is nothing less than the hearts and souls of all the nations. We can’t afford to deceive ourselves into thinking the enemy will sit idly by or not notice the incredible impact of what we are doing, so please don’t be idle and pray for the success and safety of our mission. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12. Our prayers are more powerful and the Name of Jesus is more powerful than anything that can come against us, so please pray for victory in Africa and the Middle East as we go forth to proclaim life and love into the lives of those people who need it most.

Tomorrow our Head of Africa Missions flies from Minneapolis to Washington D.C., and then from there he will depart on an over 20-hour flight from Washington D.C. to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Please pray not only for his safety during the flight, but also pray for the people he will meet on the plane and for his comfort during such a long and confined journey. Once he arrives in Ethiopia, he hopes to expand on our success from last year, strengthening our ties with the Ethiopian and Djiboutian leaders, encouraging the church in Djibouti, and preaching the gospel to a whole new group of thirsty and hungry people. He also wants to begin making preparations for building a school in Djibouti and, if it’s safe enough to do so, begin exploring the possibility of planting churches in Yemen and Dubai in the Middle East.

Many of you know how much God has been growing and stretching Justice For Humanity over this past year. It hasn’t always been a smooth path for us and we have had to overcome many difficulties, but at the same time we have been continually blessed and encouraged by your overwhelming support. In the times when it seemed like we were least capable of accomplishing the goals we felt like God was setting before us, that’s when God miraculously stepped in to bring out the very best in our amazing community of supporters. More than anything else, this is proof to us that whatever we are accomplishing is by the power of God Himself and not simply due to any efforts on our own part. He has continually compensated for our shortcomings and blessed us beyond belief, and all the Glory and Honor belongs to Him. We were so encouraged by the amount of giving we received so far this year, and we want to thank everyone who helped. At our Northridge Fellowship event on June 17th we amazingly received over $4,700, enough money to fully fund our mission for this summer. At the same time, we knew it would be a struggle to have enough money throughout the rest of the year to keep supporting the church pastor in Djibouti and to keep sending much-needed assistance to the underground church in Eritrea, two things that are very dear to our hearts and central to our ministry. But God always provides for his people, and miraculously over the past few weeks we received another $11,700 in donations! God is so good! May he truly bless those who have prayed for and financially supported this ministry. Together we are sharing in an eternal reward, and we are truly privileged to count ourselves as faithful children of the Most High God.

Please continue to pray for our Head of Africa Missions, for the people of Africa and the Middle East, for our partner churches, for all our dedicated supporters, and for the future of Justice For Humanity. Every month we are working and growing to become more and more capable of serving God in our mission. We are continually making improvements to our website and to our online presence on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. God is also connecting us with other organizations that could become potential partners in the future, and if you know of any churches that would be interested in having our Head of Africa Missions come share with them about his testimony please contact us at support@justiceforhumanity.org. Finally, we are also working on organizing a few meetings over the summer where we can gather as a group and pray for our Head of Africa Missions’ safety and success, so please watch for announcements about those in the near future.

Thank you very much to all our encouragers and supporters. Your actions are making an incredible impact across Africa and the Middle East, and we truly thank you for working together with us. Please continually keep us in your prayers, and may you be eternally blessed in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sincerely,

The Justice For Humanity leadership team
