Summer Mission 2012

Justice for the Children

This summer will be the start of a very special mission for Justice For Humanity. Last year our focus was on establishing a church in Djibouti for Eritrean refugees. This year, we are turning our focus to the multitudes of children in Djibouti who are ready to hear about the good news of Jesus and who need a place where they can meet and learn. Our Head of Africa Missions will once again be traveling to Ethiopia and Djibouti this summer, and one of his goals will be establishing a Sunday school and youth program at the new Bethel Berhan Hiwot Church in Djibouti.

During last year’s trip, we were given an unprecedented opportunity by the leadership of Djibouti to start a Christian primary school, so starting up a Sunday school program will be a good first step in that direction. Obviously starting a full-fledged school will require massive planning and resources which we don’t currently have, but we don’t want to miss out on this incredible opportunity to make such a lasting impact on the future of this important country. During his trip to Africa this year, our Head of Africa Missions will be exploring our options and laying groundwork for establishing a primary school within the next few years after we’ve built up the resources and connections to make it happen.

At this point the most important thing you can do to help us with founding the school is to pray. We believe God is the one who gives us our success, and we always want to keep our focus in the right place so the glory will always be His. We are also seeking donations to help us with preparing the way this summer, so please consider making a financial contribution on our donations page.
